Terms and Conditions (T&C) for the B-Safe26 Event

§ 1 Scope and Conclusion of Contract

(1) These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern all legal relationships between CDKW MEDIA FZCO
(hereinafter "Organizer") and participants (hereinafter"Participant") in connection with the B-Safe26 event (hereinafter "Event"). The Organizer is not a tour operator within the meaning of §§ 651a ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB) and does not offer package tours.
(2) Tickets are sold exclusively through the Ticket Tailor platform (www.tickettailor.com). The
contract is concluded upon completion of the booking process and receipt of payment. The Participant accepts these T&C upon booking.
(3) Any deviating or supplementary conditions of the Participant require the written consent of the Organizer to be effective.

§ 2 Description of Services

(1) The Organizer’s services are limited to conducting the conference day on March 14, 2026, at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, including lectures, networking, and catering during breaks.
(2) Travel, accommodation, and additional services (e.g., transfers) are not included and are the sole responsibility of the Participant. The Organizer is not liable for any related costs.

§ 3 Participation Requirements

(1) Participants must be of legal age (at least 18 years) and comply with the entry regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
(2) The Organizer reserves the right to exclude Participants from the Event without refund in case of violations of applicable law (e.g., UAE laws on morality and public order) or these T&C.

§ 4 Fees and Payment Terms

(1) The participation fee for B-Safe26 is includes 10% Tourism Fee pursuant to UAE law (expected to apply for 2026 unless waived by DCT Abu Dhabi). The fee is due upon booking via Ticket Tailor.
(2) Payments are made via the payment methods offered by Ticket Tailor (e.g., credit card). In case of payment default, CDKW MEDIA FZCO reserves the right to revoke participation.

§ 5 Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation

(1) Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers: Online bookings generally include a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection regulations. However, this right does not apply to leisure events scheduled for a specific date (§ 312g (2) No. 9 BGB). Participants are informed of this during the booking process.
(2) Cancellation: Cancellations by the Participant after completion of the ticket purchase are excluded. Tickets are neither refundable nor transferable unless CDKW MEDIA FZCO agrees in writing. The Organizer recommends obtaining event cancellation insurance.

§ 6 Cancellation or Postponement of the Event

(1) The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program (e.g., speakers) provided the overall objective of the Event is not significantly impaired.
(2) In case of cancellation or postponement by the Organizer (e.g., for organizational reasons), participation fees will be refunded via Ticket Tailor. Liability for additional costs (e.g., travel or accommodation expenses) is excluded.
(3) In case of cancellation or postponement due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics,or governmental orders), no claims for refunds or compensation exist.
(4) The Organizer will inform Participants of cancellations promptly via email.

§ 7 Rights to Content and Prohibition of Photography and Videography

(1) The Participant grants the Organizer an irrevocable, exclusive right to use all photos, videos, or other content created during the B-Safe26 Event, including during breaks, for promotional, documentation, or other purposes. Participants may not use or share such content with third parties
unless CDKW MEDIA FZCO provides written consent.
(2) The creation of photos or videos by Participants is strictly prohibited throughout the entire Event, including breaks, to protect the exclusivity and confidentiality of the content. Violations may result in exclusion from the Event without refund.
(3) Objections to the use of content involving the Participant’s person (e.g., right to one’s own image) can be made in writing to office@cdkwmedia.com.
(4) Personal data is processed in accordance with UAE data protection law and the EU GDPR. For details, see the Organizer’s privacy policy on their website.

§ 8 Participant Obligations

(1) Participants undertake to use the Event appropriately and comply with UAE laws (e.g., regarding morality, alcohol, or drugs) and these T&C. Violations, particularly of the prohibition on photography or videography, may result in exclusion from the Event without refund.
(2) The house rules of the Emirates Palace must be observed; any violations are the sole responsibility of the Participant.

§ 9 Liability

(1) The Organizer is liable only for gross negligence or intent. Liability for travel, accommodation, health-related risks (e.g., COVID-19), or indirect damages is excluded.
(2) Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel or event cancellation insurance.

§ 10 Final Provisions

(1) Amendments to these T&C require written form. If a clause is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
(2) The laws of the United Arab Emirates apply, provided this does not conflict with mandatory consumer protection laws of the Participant’s home country. The place of jurisdiction is Dubai, to the extent legally permissible.
